Dr. Abdul Ali, is one of the founding Directors of the pioneer Academy of Paramedical Sciences at Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS). He has 25 years of varied and wide, full time clinical experience in Trauma and Emergency Medicine Care.
He is formerly the Head and Chief Coordinator of Trauma & Emergency, University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), Kuala Lumpur, which is a modern state-of-art Emergency Centre of which he had the honour of creating from 1998 to 2004.
He has over 20 years experience in developing and teaching the MBBS undergraduate Emergency Medicine Programme at the Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya. He initiated and developed the Masters of Emergency Medicine Programme in 2005.
He has for many years been voted and elected as the best clinical lecturer by the medical students. He has been responsible for the Memorandum of Understanding between MRCS with UMMC (2005) and MRCS with CUCMS (2008).
He is a co-author of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) books and journal articles, and a frequent presenter at many Universities, States, National and International EMS Conferences. He is passionate in EMS development and has helped to develop various Advanced Trauma Resuscitation Courses, Disaster Management and EMS Programmes for EPU, MOH and various EMS Agencies in the country.
He is also the South East Asia Regional lecturer for Disaster Psychosocial Support Programme for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. He is privileged to have observed many EMS Systems around the world. Proud to be a life member of MRCS.
