- Cyberjaya is a new planned township with a science park as the core that forms a key part of the Multimedia Super Corridor in Malaysia. It is located in the district of Sepang, Selangor and is situated about 50 km south of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. The town aspires to be known as the Silicon Valley of Malaysia. The official opening ceremony for Cyberjaya was held in May 1997 by the then Prime Minister, Mahathir bin Mohamad.
- Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS)was initiated with the motivation to be together with other players in the education domain in realising the Malaysian government's aspirations to further improve the healthcare of Malaysians, through state-of-the-art educational technology and training in medical sciences. CUCMS was officially established on 23rd October 2005 under the Private Higher Education Act 1966 and the name for the medical college takes advantage of Malaysia's first truly intelligent city and the international image of the selected township of its location, Cyberjaya.
- The college started its operation in July 2005 and took in the first batch of MBBS and Bachelor of Pharmacy students in December 2005. CUCMS operates from its two campuses located at Jalan Teknokrat 3 as the Main Campus and the Foundation Campus which is located within the Street Mall area which promotes the concept of a garden within a shopping arcade. This concept coupled with Cyberjaya’s aspirations to be known as Malaysia’s Silicon Valley creates a conducive learning environment for all CUCMS students.
